Please write poems

I abandoned ink
I forgot the smell of pages
I could barely sense words
I isolated poetry
I became a snail

But words could never leave me
They embraced my lethargy
Waited for my ink to flow
They sensed my arrival
And cried for freedom

I was the mother-witch
Tied my own son in deep dark
Moved with my own priorities
I left behind words
I left behind my own self

Now this man comes
Remembered me that once I wrote
Once my passion blazed ;
In the rising sun and I
tanned in the heat of compassion

Please write poems
Please write poems;
He asks and invoked my muse
Whom I forgot to worship
And left lifeless as a stone

So here is my verse
Struggling in it's infancy
Trying to get a step once again
He says no gratitude in friendship
Still Thank You .
